Want to use your Gmail account to send SMS messages? It is possible to reach your recipients by SMS using a simple Gmail address (or any email address). The process is quite straightforward. First of all, the Mail to SMS solution has several advantages. Indeed, it will allow you to save time when sending your campaigns and give multiple people the ability to send campaigns.

How to send SMS messages from your Gmail account?

Integrating Mail to SMS with Gmail allows you to send SMS messages directly from Gmail. This feature reflects our commitment to offering simple, flexible and reliable tools to our customers.

1. Log in to Gmail

First, you will need to log in to your Google account.

2. Compose a new message

Once logged in, compose a new message by clicking the button below:

3. Message details

Recipient:

Next, you will need to enter the following email address as the recipient:

mail2sms@smspartner.fr

This will allow us to send your campaign through our SMS Partner platform.

Once that is done, enter your API key along with the phone numbers of your recipients in the subject line of your email.

Several options are available. For example, you can add your company name, the sending time or the sending date. To learn about all the additional options, visit the documentation for sending an SMS from an email.

Please note that each field must be separated by the & symbol as shown in the example below.

Please note that a maximum of 5,000 SMS messages can be sent with this option. If your campaign contains more than 5,000 numbers, you will need to perform several separate sends.

Once all the steps are completed, you can write your message to send it as an SMS to your prospects.

Please note that the maximum character count for an SMS is 160. If this limit is exceeded, an additional SMS will be deducted. Furthermore, certain characters will be replaced when your messages are sent. Remember to remove your automatic signature when sending your campaigns, as it will appear in the SMS messages.

1. Is it possible to send an SMS via Gmail?

It is possible, but only by going through an SMS marketing platform that offers this option. At SMS Partner, we allow you to send your commercial SMS messages directly from your Gmail address, to up to 5,000 contacts.

2. Is it possible to schedule an SMS send via Gmail?

Absolutely! This is one of the optional parameters we offer on SMS Partner. You need to add the “scheduledDeliveryDate” field specifying the SMS send date in DD/MM/YYYY format. You can also set a send time using the “time” field and the send minute using the “minute” field.

3. Can I receive a delivery receipt for each SMS sent via Gmail?

Yes, this is possible by adding the “report” field to your email, followed by “=1”. However, a delivery receipt will be sent for each recipient, so we recommend using this field only if you have a very limited number of recipients.
